Muslim conquest of the Iberian Peninsula

The Umayyad Caliphate conquered the Visigothic Kingdom on the Iberian Peninsula in the early 8th century. 2. AD 711~713 · India · War

    Arab conquest of Sindh

Between 711 and 713, the Umayyad Caliphate defeated the Chach dynasty, the last Hindu dynasty to rule over Sindh, and incorporated Sindh as a province of the empire, making the lower Indus Valley first region in South Asia to become part of Islamic world.

  3. AD 712 · Japan · Culture

    Compilation of the Kojiki

The Kojiki, also sometimes read as Furukotofumi or Furukotobumi, is an early Japanese chronicle of myths, legends, hymns, genealogies, oral traditions, and semi-historical accounts dating as far back as 641 concerning the origin of the Japanese archipelago, the kami, and the Japanese imperial line. It is claimed in its preface to have been composed by Ō no Yasumaro at the request of Empress Genmei in the early 8th century (711–712), and thus is usually considered to be the oldest extant literary work in Japan.
